Hi, I'm Alex.

I build software for businesses that need it — web apps, mobile apps, AI agents, integrations, internal tools, scraping pipelines, dashboards. I run ZED-ZEN (FORTITUDO VINCIT SRL), a software studio based in Mureș, Romania, mostly focused on hospitality, retail, and the public sector — but I take on work outside that too.

Most of my projects live in the same core stack: Next.js + Supabase + TypeScript + Stripe + OpenAI. For mobile I use Flutter. For scraping and automation I use Python. AI-assisted workflows are core to how I move fast — I architect, ship, integrate, deploy, and own the result. End-to-end, from product design through ongoing client support.

What I've shipped

  • HoReCaOS — my main product: an operating system for restaurants, cafés and hotels. POS with fiscal printers, stock and food cost, HR, delivery integrations, e-Factura, and AI agents that do the work from chat. Web, Windows and Android.
  • Registrul firmelor — free public register of 3.9M Romanian companies and 12.4M balance sheets from ANAF + ONRC, with bulk checks, prospect lists and a free API.
  • Meniul Zilei — daily lunch menus collected over WhatsApp and auto-published to the web, Facebook and WhatsApp communities.
  • Pulse and the Bolt / Glovo / Wolt aggregator — NFC waiter reviews and cross-platform delivery BI, now modules inside HoReCaOS.
  • Nexus Dashboard — a business intelligence layer over the Nexus ERP API (1,370+ endpoints) for sales, cash flow, supplier balances, and food cost.
  • Floteris — fleet management SaaS for Romanian logistics companies with an agentic RAG assistant and e-Factura.
  • Ciorbe și Plăcinte mobile app — restaurant loyalty, nutrition tracking, and gamification (Flutter).
  • Salarizare Bugetari — free public-interest salary calculator covering 2,627 public-sector job functions in Romania.
  • Graziano's Pizza Ape and Terasa Florilor — restaurant sites with booking, ordering and custom admin panels.

And about 15 more, ranging from internal client tools to scraping pipelines, AI agents, and WhatsApp bots.

How I work

  • AI-native, not AI-only. I use Claude and Cursor heavily as part of the workflow — they let me move fast without cutting corners on architecture, security, or testing. The output is my responsibility, not the tool's.
  • Owner mindset. Hand me a problem, I'll come back with a working solution and a plan for the next step. You don't have to micromanage tech decisions.
  • Honest scoping. I'll tell you when something is overkill or when it needs more time than the brief suggests.
  • Clear communication. Async-friendly, replies within a few hours during EU work hours.
  • Production-grade output. Clean, documented, easy to hand off. Nothing throwaway.

How I got here

  • Started building websites and tools as a teenager.
  • Studied Public Sector Leadership at FSPAC, Babeș-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca; left after one year to build my own thing.
  • Founded FORTITUDO VINCIT SRL in 2022 and have been shipping ever since.
  • Mostly self-taught on the engineering side — learned by building real products that other people actually used.
